Periazhvaar composed 10 verses referred to as Poochoodal.

In his 7th paasuram in the Poochoodal, PeriAzhvaar sings praise of Kudanthai Aaravamudhan.

PeriAzhvaar praises the sleeping lord at Kudanthai(Kumbakonam) as a King who was deft at juggling pots thrown in the air. He refers to the Lord as the young prince who infatuates the young and beautiful girls.

He wants the Lord who once tore open the chest of Hiranyakashipu and who is now residing in a reclining posture at Thiru Kudanthai to come and wear the Kurukaththi flowers.
